The object of our trip to Rennes-les-Bains was to see this rock. I became aware of it when a Belgian friend wrote to me as follows:
Yesterday I was reading a novel written by a Spanish journalist (Matilde Asensi) about Templars and
Hospital knights. Although there was nothing deeply esoteric in it, something caught my attention;
she mentions that in two sites in the world exist "vibrating" or "oscillating" stones: one site is in Rennes-les-Bains, the other one in Cabio (Galicia).
Quote (translation is from French, original in Spanish)
I can only tell you that in certain places, gigantic flagstones or rocks mysteriously transported by
men in the very distant past, and placed in equilibrium, sometimes in what seems in quite impossible
ways, vibrate and react to certain particular sounds or words. Nobody knows how or why, but the
fact is this phenomenon exists. In your country they are called "rollers" and here "oscillating
stones". I have heard they can be found in two places: one in Rennes-les-Bains in the Languedoc
region, the other one in Galicia, at Cabio.
So here you see it above, perched on top of another rock. It is quite large. We didn't notice any "trembling" or oscillating, but now that we have located it, we will be going back to make some experiments. |
