Ponte Santa Trinita
Constructed in 1252 by the architects fra Sisto and fra Ristoro, it was later reconstructed between 1566 and 1569 by Bartolommeo Ammanati, influenced by Michelangelo. It was completely destroyed by German mines on the night of 4th August, 1944 and has been faithfully reconstructed using the remains of the older construction. You see the end of the Spini-Ferroni Palace at the right on the far side of the river.
