Many hotels, pensions, and villas were built on the Island of Mali by the time of World War I. In 1967, hotel Bellevue was built and is considered the pride of Mali Losinj. Soccer fields and tennis courts were built for the tourists (and residents!). Hotels Aurora and Vespera soon followed.
