Very important discussion. And yes, we do go into weather catastrophes. Bottom line is that preparation is preparation. You prepare for the worst, hope for the best, and deal with what comes (only if you are prepared to). So y’all quit saying that nobody is “telling us what to do”. There’s plenty of advice out there.

A man with special needs is speaking out after he was left badly bruised by police.
Twenty-two-year-old Gilberto Powell, who has Down Syndrome, is left with horrible bruises and scars on his face after he had an encounter with police outside his home. “That’s my son. That’s my baby. I really love this little boy. He’s my love,” said Powell’s mother, Josephine.
According to the family, they were inside their Southwest Miami-Dade home last Saturday when Powell, who is also called Liko, called his parents on his cell phone to let them know he was walking a block from his friend’s house. On his way home, Liko said, “The police followed me.” Liko said, the officer smacked him in the face with an open hand and knocked him to the ground. “His whole hand,” he said. According to the police report, a Miami-Dade Police officer noticed a bulge in Liko’s waistband. The officer attempted to conduct a pat down, and Powell tried to run away. “I said, ‘Didn’t you know he was a Down Syndrome kid?’ And he said, ‘No, I’m not a doctor. I don’t know.’ And I said, ‘Well, you can see it in his face that he is a Down Syndrome kid,'” said Josephine.”
Who is this woman doing the interview? What an ignorant, officious, pusillanimous and anti-human creature she is.
Glenn Greenwald’s humanity shines through. He did a terrific job.
Journalist Glenn Greenwald trashed GCHQ / NSA criminality apologists Kirsty Wark and Pauline Neville-Jones (both who have BA’s in History – so exactly ZERO qualifications to talk about the internet or computers). Guest Anthony Barnett from OpenDemocracy is disgusted at the two apologists for state criminality, also defends the information released by Edward Snowden on the criminality of GCHQ and the NSA.
The BBC presenter Kirsty looks like she’s reading a government prepared script full of bollocks that is easily argued against, in the “nothing to hide nothing to fear” or “you’re helping terrorists with the Edward Snowden leaks”. All lies.

A Tennessee police officer has been placed on leave after shooting 68-year-old man to death in his garage allegedly following a brief verbal altercation. The officer claims the man was armed with a handgun and refusing to listen to his commands before the officer discharged his gun.
Police have been killing people and animals for little or no reason with alarming regularity lately. If there was ever any question about whether or not we live in a police state, the answer is now definitively YES.
‘Worldwide travel alerts’ urging Americans to remain within the US; wild weather; missing crop circles; strange lights in the sky; trains running off their tracks; animals dying in droves; record profits for some while debt explodes for most; hunting down al-Qaeda in the War on Terror; sending weapons to al-Qaeda in the War on Syria; countless senseless murders; crops failing; food prices skyrocketing; chemical plants exploding; “solar flare killshots”; fireballs raining down from the sky… Is this the end of the world or something?
‘All and Everything’ returns to SOTT Talk Radio this week to offer our listeners a show packed with ‘condensed Truth’ on various different current (and perhaps not-so-current) topics. We’ll aim to deal with each discrete topic in about 5 minutes and then see if our analysis leads us to an overall view of ‘life on planet earth’.
What’s the weather like where you are? More importantly, what are the people like where you are? Are they getting worked up about the state of the economy? Are they noticing the extreme and unusual weather events? Or are they just totally oblivious to anything beyond their daily routines?
At the state high-school wrestling tournament in Denver last year, three upperclassmen cornered a 13-year-old boy on an empty school bus, bound him with duct tape and sodomized him with a pencil.
For the boy and his family, that was only the beginning.
The students were from Norwood, Colo., a ranching town of about 500 people near the Telluride ski resort. Two of the attackers were sons of Robert Harris, the wrestling coach, who was president of the school board. The victim’s father was the K-12 principal.
After the principal reported the incident to police, townspeople forced him to resign. Students protested against the victim at school, put “Go to Hell” stickers on his locker and wore T-shirts that supported the perpetrators. The attackers later pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges, according to the Denver district attorney’s office.
Those bullies should do HARD TIME or get run out of town on a rail after being tarred and feathered.
An Oamaru father who attempted to rent his baby son to a paedophile has been sentenced to nearly nine years imprisonment on a raft of charges.
The 27-year-old father was sentenced today to eight years and 10 months imprisonment with a minimum non-parole period of five years after being convicted of charges including sexual violation, indecent assault and making, possessing and distributing an objectionable publication.
The man was arrested as part of a police operation that began last July involving staff across the country including Northland, Auckland City, Eastern, Canterbury and Southern districts.
The operation targeted alleged paedophiles in New Zealand and overseas, including Aaron John Ellmers aged 41, who last month was sentenced to 20 years’ preventative detention.
The Oamaru father was charged when police caught him attempting to rent out his 13-month-old son to Ellmers for $500.
