Florida bay is Closed: Feds try to close the ocean because of shutdown

Just before the weekend, the National Park Service informed charter boat captains in Florida that the Florida Bay was “closed” due to the shutdown. Until government funding is restored, the fishing boats are prohibited from taking anglers into 1,100 square-miles of open ocean. Fishing is also prohibited at Biscayne National Park during the shutdown.

The Park Service will also have rangers on duty to police the ban… of access to an ocean. The government will probably use more personnel and spend more resources to attempt to close the ocean, than it would in its normal course of business.

This is governing by temper-tantrum. It is on par with the government’s ham-fisted attempts to close the DC WWII Memorial, an open-air public monument that is normally accessible 24 hours a day. By accessible I mean, you walk up to it. When you have finished reflecting, you then walk away from it.

At least that Memorial is an actual structure, with some kind of perimeter that can be fenced off. Florida Bay is the ocean. How, pray tell, do you “close” 1,100 square miles of ocean? Why would one even need to do so?

Apparently, according to an anonymous Park Service ranger, “We’ve been told to make life as difficult for people as we can. It’s disgusting.”

Centuries ago, King Canute famously failed to command the ocean tide to stop. His display was actually a means to educate his subjects on the limits of royal power. Today, however, our President actually believes he has the power to control the oceans.

Note that Bin Laden was never formerly charged with the embassy attacks – and he he “got away.”

We’re trying to find videos that document the fact that some officials at the US embassies that were attacked don’t believe the official story and suspect these were false flag operations.

Again, there is undoubtedly more to this story than any of us will ever know. We find it very interesting that the Mombasa Paradise hotel was attacked and destroyed just days before the corrupt President Moi stepped down as Kenyan leader. Perhaps realising that their days of stealing from Kenya to finance Israel were over, the Mossad decided to use their Kenyan front in one last act of service to Israel. The faked “terrorist” attack and destruction of the Mombasa Paradise hotel served well to increase even further the hype and fear that Osama really is under all our beds. It also served well to further the myth that ordinary Jews are at risk given that the target was an Israeli business and at the time was packed with Israeli tourists. 13 kenyans died, along with 2 Israeli children, yet when your motto is “by way of deception thou shalt do war” those deaths are, it seems, acceptable collateral damage in the greater war that Israel is determined to fight to prove to the world that everyone hates the Jews. Of course this is simply not the case. With leaders that are prepared to sacrifice even their own people to achieve their goals, as always, it is the ordinary Jewish citizen that we feel compelled to protect, if only by sounding the alarm over the actions of their so-called leaders.

Yet another apparently motiveless massacre has taken place in the U.S., this time in the nation’s capital.

It’s 16th mass shooting in the U.S. since Obama came to power.

Once again, the initial reports described ‘multiple shooters’. Once again, those reports were replaced by ‘the lone shooter’ narrative, this time a former U.S. Navy reservist named Aaron Alexis.

So, did he just snap and ‘go postal’? Given the increasingly stressful financial, social and environmental conditions most of us find ourselves living under, that may well be what happened here.

But it’s also worth asking: was Alexis another mind-controlled dupe?

The US-supported Syrian rebels did the Sarin attacks. That makes the US government guilty as well of war crimes.

Iran has not attacked ANY country since 1898… so why does the US want to take it down???

It’s true: the odds don’t matter anymore. It’s now or never.

We can ALL do SOMETHING to try and stop military action against Syria.

The plan is to flood the White House and all our representatives with paper letters in the mail.

The proposed message is a simple one and can be copied and pasted as the message if you so choose:

So the innocent have nothing to fear? After David Miranda we now know where this leads

Two great forces are now in fierce but unresolved contention. The material revealed by Edward Snowden through the Guardian and the Washington Post is of a wholly different order from WikiLeaks and other recent whistle-blowing incidents. It indicates not just that the modern state is gathering, storing and processing for its own ends electronic communication from around the world; far more serious, it reveals that this power has so corrupted those wielding it as to put them beyond effective democratic control. It was not the scope of NSA surveillance that led to Snowden’s defection. It was hearing his boss lie to Congress about it for hours on end.
